Little Green Corner | Branding Story
The Little Green Corner is a farm to plate cafe in Geelong that creates beautiful food that changes with the regions gardens and farms. As well as employing traditional tecniques to create food from scratch, the team run workshops on cooking, foraging and growing to share their knowledge and grow their community. I have worked alongside The Little Green Corner on multiple projects to build a collection of illustrations that reflect their values and story.
Kemi Nekvapil | Event Illustration
Kemi Nekvapil is a coach, speaker and author who is committed to making a measurable impact with her work to create good in the world. I worked alongside my collegue Dusk Liney to create a live installations at her book events. We captured the stories of participants over the course of these two events to create a capsule of that moment in time. The illustrations worked to evoke a sense of the night that she could share online as a tool for community building.
The Listening Squad
I work as an illustrator for The Listening Squad, a group of professionals who bring together our different skills in community development, education, social media marketing, communication, illustration and operational management skills to create the ultimate support team for your work. We bring depth and connection to events through holding Listening Circles, creating community building concepts & providing event speakers, interviewers and facilitators.
Dumbo Feather | Listening Circle
A listening Circle for the Dumbo Feather core team to facilitate a space them reflect on thier upcoming magazine theme of belonging. This was a partnership between The Enshrine Project and The Listening Squad.
Project O | Big hArt
This year I have been a visiting artist for BIGhART's Project O, a project driving change in rural, regional and isolated communities affected by family violence. As a part of this primary prevention program young women develop new skills and learn how to create change in their community. My role for Project O was to listen to these young women's stories and reflect it back to them in an illustration, demonstrating that they have an important and beautiful story to tell! We sat with the Project O girls, one on one, for a short conversation, and I then illustrated a small moment of the conversation as a gift to them, celebrating their story! It was evident to me as I listened to the conversations, how important the work of Project O is on the North West Coast. It was such an amazing opportunity to witness the beauty and strength of these young women and to reflect that back to them.
